Where we work in the City

Our City round covers the core around Bank, Cornhill and Lombard Street, the Gracechurch Street and Leadenhall blocks, Cheapside and the streets towards St Paul's, and Moorgate and London Wall at the northern edge.

The residential work is a small part of it: apartments in the Barbican and in converted upper floors around Fleet Street and Cheapside. They are cleaned as homes, to a household checklist, not to an office specification.

What makes the City different to clean

Building management sets the terms, not the tenant. Access, insurance evidence, method statements and the hours a contractor may work are usually fixed at building level, and a supplier who cannot produce the paperwork does not get through the door. We provide it before being asked.

The district empties completely and refills completely. That is an advantage: the cleaning window here is wider and more predictable than anywhere else we work, and an overnight or early schedule is straightforward rather than a negotiation.

Floor plates are large and glass is everywhere. Internal glazing, partitions and meeting-room walls are the surfaces that make a floor look cleaned or not, and they go on a stated rotation rather than being done when somebody notices.

Access, paperwork and waste

The City is inside the Congestion Charge zone: £18 a day since 2 January 2026, Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm and noon to 6pm at weekends. It is inside the ULEZ. Both sit inside your figure.

We supply public liability evidence, risk assessments, method statements and COSHH data sheets as standard rather than on request, because in the City they will be asked for before a first visit is booked.

Waste is handled through the building's own contractor in most cases. Where it is not, we work to the City of London's timed collection requirements and confirm them in the checklist.

Services in City of London

• Commercial cleaning. Offices, consulting rooms and serviced apartments, cleaned out of hours to a written specification.
• Post-construction cleaning. Three stages, worked to your contractor's programme. One clean at the end always fails.
• Deep cleaning. Seasonal, and before a house is returned to. Descaling is most of the work in London.
• Move-in and move-out. Worked against the check-in report, because that is the document a dispute is decided on.
• Home cleaning. Regular weekly or fortnightly cleaning, worked to a checklist agreed with you.
