Where we work in Soho
Our Soho round covers the office and studio streets: Dean Street, Greek Street, Frith Street and Wardour Street, the squares at Soho and Golden, and the Berwick Street and Broadwick Street blocks. We work the Carnaby and Beak Street retail units and the smaller upper-floor offices above them.
Residential work here is limited and we are honest about why. Soho has flats, but it is overwhelmingly a working district, and our residential rounds sit a few streets west in Mayfair and Marylebone.
What makes Soho different to clean
The window is the whole problem. A Soho office might empty at eight and a Soho restaurant at two in the morning, and the building opens again at seven. Most of our work here runs very early or very late, and the schedule is agreed to the hour rather than to the day.
The buildings are old and converted. Georgian and Victorian stock turned into offices over decades means narrow stairs, no service lift, and floors that were never designed for the use they now get. Equipment comes up by hand, which affects what we can bring and how long a visit takes.
Shared entrances are the norm. One street door often serves four businesses on four floors, and the communal stair belongs to everybody and therefore to nobody. We establish in writing at the outset what is ours to clean and what belongs to the freeholder.
Access, parking and waste
Soho sits inside the Congestion Charge zone: £18 a day since 2 January 2026, Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm and noon to 6pm at weekends. It is also inside the ULEZ. Both sit inside your monthly figure.
A good deal of the area is pedestrianised or access-restricted, and Westminster's controlled parking runs Monday to Saturday, 8:30am to 6:30pm. In practice our teams arrive on foot or by a single drop outside controlled hours, which is one more reason the early and late schedules suit this round.
Commercial waste is the thing most suppliers get wrong here. Westminster operates timed collection bands on most Soho streets, and bags put out outside the band are both a fine and a fly-tipping risk. We work to your collection times, not ours, and we confirm them in the specification.
